Privacy Policy

Report To Santa provides a personalised digital family-entertainment service. A grown-up writes a short message and we create a digitally generated Santa voice-note reply from the information provided.

What we collect

Your message text, any first name(s) or pronunciation notes you choose to include, your email address and, for account holders, basic account and usage information such as pass status, saved profile first names and timezone. We deliberately do not ask for surnames, dates of birth, ages, home addresses or school details.

Why we use it

We use this information to create and deliver the requested Santa reply, keep account features working, process payment, provide customer support, prevent misuse and apply safety checks to submitted messages.

Services we use

We use Supabase for database, authentication and storage; Stripe for payments; OpenAI for script generation and moderation; ElevenLabs for voice synthesis; and Resend for transactional email. We do not sell personal data.

North Pole email updates

If you actively choose to receive North Pole reminders and special offers, we use your email address to send a short sequence connected to your message. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in every sales email. Unsubscribing does not stop essential service emails, such as delivery, payment, security or support messages.

Retention

Message content, generated scripts and audio are automatically deleted 90 days after creation. You can download audio or video before then if you want to keep it permanently, and you can delete a message earlier from your account where that option is available. A one-way email fingerprint may be retained to enforce the one-free-message allowance after a report is deleted. Payment and business records may be retained for longer where required for accounting, fraud prevention or legal obligations.

International processing

Some service providers may process information outside the United Kingdom. Where this happens, we rely on the safeguards made available by those providers and applicable data-protection law.

Your rights

Depending on the circumstances, UK data-protection law may give you rights to access, correct, erase, restrict or object to the use of your personal information, and to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office. To contact us about your information, email hq@reporttosanta.com.

Cookies and analytics

We use essential storage needed for sign-in, security and service operation. We also keep daily aggregate counts of page views, report-form activity, checkout sessions and technical error categories to operate and improve the service. These counters contain no visitor identifiers, email addresses, child names, report text, recordings, full URLs or query strings, and are kept for up to 90 days. Browser analytics respect Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control signals. Our request protection temporarily uses a one-way keyed fingerprint of the network address to limit abuse; raw network addresses are not stored in these counters. Other non-essential tracking should only be used in accordance with the consent choices presented on the site.
